Nonogram Master's Legacy Helper
How to start
This is a helper app for the Game "Nonogram - Master's Legacy" on Steam. Or rather, for the Community (Workshop) puzzles. Default puzzles are not supported but they are very easy anyway
If you ever spent two hours on a huge Puzzle just to realize you did something wrong but can't figure out where, you know where the drive to make this came from.
I made this mainly for myself, don't expect too much in the ways of support, and if the game decides to change the save file structure or the workshop structure, it will no longer work.
It's confirmed to work on both Windows and Linux, on Mac it should work but unconfirmed. It will only work on the Steam version, in case there is any other somewhere.
Be aware it's only for in-progress puzzles. It's that way because already completed ones may not be downloaded any more. Make sure you back out of the puzzle with the back button in game for it to save your progress, or this helper is unable to see it.
- Shows the current state of your puzzle
- Marks any cell wrongfully marked as "empty" or "filled"
- Shows the solution to the puzzle
- Shows the color image that results after completion
Java version 8 or newer. You can check if you have it using this command line command (Windows: Start->run->cmd):
If you get nothing or if it's telling you that it doesn't know the command "java", you probably don't have java. If you get something, it should look like this:
java version "1.8.0"
openjdk version "11.0.11" 2021-04-20
If the number is 1.8 or larger, Nonogram Master's Legacy Helper should run.
If you don't have Java or an old version, you can download the newest one at "Download".
How to start
If everything works, you can just double-click the jar file, but sometimes a compressing software like WinZip graps this file extension.
If that happens, take a look at Jarfix

Oracle pulled a fast one on us, newest (Oracle) Java versions have horrible licencing. So either choose 1.8, the last proper version, or chose OpenJDK:

Newest Java via adoptOpenJDK.com
